As the title suggests, this installation represents the early chapters of my life. The bunk beds can be viewed from two distinct angles. One view expresses layers which mirror our individual connection with society. The reverse view, a gray scale, reflects time and the gradation of emotions. I feel my life is extending into a brighter unknown height. The monitor is a doorway into a dark chapter of abandonment. The mobile has a more simplistic representation focusing on balance. This is a calibrated counterbalance of family, work and creativity.
